I've been searching for the past few days about combining my key fob and key into one. I've noticed one that was home made on here, and I liked it, now I want one. But first, do the 09 tundra keys have a chip in them? Would it be better to buy a universal switch blade shell, another tundra fob and just hybrid them together with some good ole inginuity and bondo? Or do the ones they sell on ebay actually work. I have not found any with the same FFC ID numbers, therefore I'm assuming they do not have the same frequency. Does anyone have any experience with any of this? If not, I'll do a small write up if I do the frankenstein key.

I saw his thread. The only thing I didn't like about his fob was there was no KEY RING HOLE. I'd like to be able to add a house key or something to the set. The more I think about it, the more I feel I'd be better off taking a shell, and toyota transmitter from ebay, fusing them together and then putting the guts from my spare fob in. We'll see though.
