kill stories in a truck?????????????????

dodge might have them but it better be a Viper and not the truck version either.
nissan...you have to be joking right

next we will hear about racing minivans on the street. gimme a break.
Toxarch, my mother did not type my opinions about street racing for me. She's dead. I, however did respond to the bragging threads about racing and discouraged folks not to endanger other people in the pursuit of supremecy over other brands of trucks. If the moderators allow a thread about beating the competition then so be it. Let's also start threads so we can brag about driving drunk, GTA, and child molestation. NOT! Dude, public forum to express one's opinion or offer advice on Tundra matters.

Blast away if you want. It will not alter my established position as a vehicle safety advocate.

TX RN,

I agree 100pct. I think some of the posters in here are teenage kids with their parents truck. Just a guess. That or they have never driven a really fast vehicle to begin with. Stock trucks aren't fast.
Well not an 07 with a 4.7 anyway. A 5.7 on the other hand.... :D

Ever hear of an SRT-10 Ram?

Try a Ford Lightning on for size. :D
I don't have any race stories because no one has really challenged me yet. Seen a few 5.7 Chargers I'd like to run if given the chance. I would go to a track but I don't know any around central Louisiana, anyone?
Here are some dude.

Fellas, hate to bust your bubble but a 5.7 Tundra ain't gonna smoke a 5.7 car. The power to weight ratio is in favor of the car. Let's remember we are talking about a truck here. Apples to oranges comparing a car to a truck. F150, C1500, Ram 150, Titan are the trucks in the same "class" as the Tundra. Forget the speed anyway. Lock up hitch to hitch with a chain and see who drags who. That ought to be good for a smoke show and maybe a new transmission or motor. The truck is bad a$$ so what do you have to prove? Be happy with the fact you bought the best. No worries, cheers.
Bring ya some money and one of them 300 C or Hemi Chargers and Ill show ya a little trick.
Its called walk the dog.

To the racers... If you wanted to race why did you get a truck instead of a muscle car or import?? Just curious.
I sold my WRX and used the money as the down payment on the tundra. So my days of drivin' fast are over. The WRX had ~320hp depending on the boost, it was fun. Now some 17 year old kid has it and prbly wraped it around a pole.

I sold a 2000 TransAm with a 5.7 to help with the purchase of my truck. I haven't done anything too stupid with the truck, but I haven't exactly been easy on it. I can tell you that the truck seems to have every bit of power the T/A did. I'm honestly not sure the car would have been able to pull away from it much. Maybe I'll run into the guy I sold the car to at a red light one day and .... just kidding  .

Hey, thanks a million for that! Had no idea there were that many around me. Now it's time to pick one out and set up a date.
Kills,
1-Ford F150 (newer)
2-Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi 5.7s (2007)
1-Chevy Silverado 1500 (2007)

Because I can haul stuff and haul ***, and because it has high clearance and 4WD. It has the best (almost) of both worlds. Just wait until I S/C...:D I'm not saying it handles like a car, but its not too bad for a truck...

Kills:

'05 Hemi Durango (started 2 lengths behind him, passed him by 70)
'00 Dakota 5.9 R/T
'03 BMW 330i
'00 F-250 V10 RCSB
Just this morning I beat the living crap outta a 1980ish Ford Ranger with some old coot behind the wheel smoking a cigar. I don't think he realized we were racing but, just the same, I smoked his arse!:D
The day after I bought my truck I came up to a light next to a brand new Nissan Titan who also still had paper plates, he kept looking over and rolling his truck forward so I decided to play. I ran up to about 50 and let off but that was all I needed to put about a car and a half on him.

blpatrick, that's a ridiculous question. You are basically saying that if you want to go fast and race. You can only drive a muscle car or import. My mind is racing (pun intended) considering the implications of living my life by your rationale.

Well put Thundera. This is exactly why I am buying the Tundra. And when I get it. I will race it. You can count on that.

As to the subject of racing on the street. I don't condone it, or encourage it. But it is done and if some one wants to speak about their experience. So be it. I am not the thought police and no one else should be.
