06' DC 2wd w/TRD, is makeing a loud "popping" noise (somewhat mettalic) intermittanly from the left front. Nuts and bolts are tight, no visible signs of movement or worn bushings (truck was new in Dec). Almost sounds like the dreaded lower balljoint noise but I have checked 3 times and am not on the list. It can actually be felt in the floorpan when it happens.

Any ideas? Anybody have a similar problem? Thanks.

I have a similar pop ping or whatever from the front of my 05 D-Cab. I had the ball joints replaced and it still does it. Can not find it./ I checked all teh bolts and nuts but keep coming up empty.

If anyone has found this PLEASE let us know. Now that I am done working on the house for a few weekends I will try and hunt it down again.

The last time I heard of a popping sound from up front was my bro's Chevy Blazer. The ball joints were replaced three times until someone figured out thtat they were putting the wrong parts in.

Ball Joints - How to Keep Your Front Suspension Together If ya do not know how to check one take it in to someone that does, no sence in taking a chance trying to wait till it fails before ya address the issue! If it's under warranty just taker in and let Toyota show they checked it in their data base in case you have issues later!
