3 questions:

1) how do i find out if my tundra has a limited slip? and if i have one how do i change the fluid in the limited slip or does it drain when i drain the diff and fill the same as well. 2001 4x4 SR5 access cab.

2)if i change my own auto trans fluid if there a filter i have to change out? or just drain and put new stuff in..

3)has anyone used royal purple for all there fluid changes?

If you were to check for LSD, which it's been pointed out that you don't
have, and the sticker were missing you could jack the rear end off the
ground and put it up on stands. With the vehicle in neutral, turn or have
someone else turn, one of the tires clockwise. The opposite tire will turn
in the same direction if you have LSD. I tried the VIN route and they
couldn't tell me.

As for the tranny filter, you 'll have to drop the pan for that. Assuming yours
is the same as my 2002, the filter is a bolt in type which you'll be able to see
when you have the pan out. Carefully unbolt the filter and inspect it. Check
each bolt as you take it out as I believe they may be different lengths. Chances
are you'll be able to get away with just cleaning it really well as it's mainly a
metal screen.

I can't answer the Royal Purple question for you. Good luck.

I ran the Royal Purple in my 05' Double Cab, and didn't notice any difference when running it or Mobil1, or Redline. I just ran the Redline in the diff's, and Royal Purple in the tranny and engine. I'll just stick with the Wally World jug of Mobil1 Extended performance...as it's cheaper and seems to work just as well (although I have no scientific data to prove it).
