I run the Mobil1 M1-301A oil filter, its larger than stock, has more surface area and maintains higher oil pressure when first installed and throughout its service life. Larger filter adds about 1/3 of a quart capacity to the oil as well. Image shown for comparison and on-engine comparison photos. Hope this helps
