Morning guys. I've had a check engine light on for awhile. Autozone said the code means an O2 sensor or MAF sensor. Replaced MAF last night, cleared the CEL and everything seemed to be fine. I start the truck this morning and it's running extra rough. Half way into work (about 20 minutes of driving) CEL popped back on and it immediately began running smoother. WHAT IS GOING ON!

Bad part is I have an interested party in purchasing the truck today!

Please let me know if anyone has any ideas. O2 sensors were replaced about 2 years ago.

You will need to pull codes to find out what is going on.
It could be a bad MAF, it could be an 02 sensor or a host of anything else. I don't think that MAF & 02 is the same code, one more reason to stay away from AutoZone.

yep. i replaced my O2's about 2 years ago as well. i'mm 600 miles below the border now and 3 days ago the dreaded 0420 pops up. i cleared the biatch and am going tuna fishing now! good luck!

perhaps the truck went into limp mode?

For what the parts cost, spend the hundred dollars and get your own code reader and take the guess work out. Most parts places have code readers.....to SELL parts!

I got one off of amazon for less than 20 bucks and it gives me the obd II code number. It has helped me out not having to take it in every time the light comes on and get charged a labor charge. The only thing I wish it did is tell me when the error happens (cold, warm engine, etc.).
