POLL - what tire size are you running (with out a lift)?

Have an 06 DC with TRD 18in rims running the stock 275/55/18 mich tires. Want to get a larger tire without having to install a lift kit, spacers, coil overs, etc...... What is the largest tire I can fit under a stock Tundra. Will a 275/65/18 BFG ATKO fit with no lift - don't mind taking the flaps off to fix minor rub. Do not really off road (except an occasional drive through the woods - nothing robust - 2 tracks a van could handle) so that's not a concern, just want a better truck tire.

What is the largest size tire you have tried (or can run on a stock tundra)

Thanks.

I would think there are plenty of "will this tire size fit" threads there to choose from.......do a search and start digging! ;)

Sounds like you are in the same boat as I am - looking to upgrade out of the 275/55/18s our Tundra's came from the dealer with.

The tires you have now are roughly 29.9" tall, and 10.8" wide. Going up to a "65 series" tire means increasing your overall tire height about 2.2". I am actually looking at going with this size and a 2.5" lift - I'm not sure if it can be done with just stock height running gear; if it could, the truck's fenders would probably look a little stuffed imho.

Here's a thread that might be of your interest....

Also, one of the bestest tire conversion calculator out there :D. Use it to compare your stock tire to a size you're thinking about upgrading to.

Good luck with your quest, please post up what you decide to go with!
I know you can run 31" tires. So a 265/55/18 would be about where I would stop increasing. I know this because I went to upgrade tires because mine looked so small after lifted.. then I realized they were 30.6" tires haha.
That's going to be a close fit I just put 275/55/20 on mine and had to remove the mudflaps due to rubbing. the size you want or just a tad bigger but they just might work you will definitely have to remove the mudflaps.
i got a good deal on some Michelin LTX MS 275/70R16 and they fit just fine but they are big and look weird on my TRD off road wheels... but 4 for $140 with 85% thread aint bad at all... especially since my bfgoodrich R/T's had 60k good miles on them and had about 10-15% left on them...
