Hi,

Has anyone tried both of these tires? I am just wanting to hear opinions.

Thank you

Welcome aboard from SoCal.

I can't speak for the Hankook HP2 variety ~ my compadre had Hankook on his brand X truck as factory tires and loved them so much he bought another set when they wore out.

My brother and I have had Michelin Defenders on our Tundras for some time ~ they play to rave reviews.
You'll likely be good with either tire, honestly.

If they are both as good as each other, my 02cents into the picture, is to say the Michelin last longer than the Hancook. So much so that anyone doing less than say 20,000 miles a year is better off with the Hancook, rather than going with the Michelin, and keeping the up front cost premium to themselves. Because the Michelin is way longer lasting and keeping tires after they get past 5 years old risks tire rot.
