Hey Brandon.

Is it safe to use mineral spirits to remove things like tar off of your paint? I presume it will take the wax off as well. Do mineral sprits leave any kind of a residue behind?

Kerosene works good, I would use WD40 I know it wont hurt the paint no more than the tar will and theres always a can of it around, technically its a mineral spirit in a can, Goo Gone if you want to spend more money.

The only reason I would not use WD-40 is because it has graphite suspended in it.
Einszettes Acrysol is another great product for removing tar and sap or sticker glue. And very safe on the paint

Dint know that, maybe thats why it works so well. It cant be much its the solvent that does the trick, do the whole hood and you'll be ricing it up :clown:

The graphite is what makes it such a good lubricant.
I just use 3M adhesive remover but mineral spirits and kerosine both work well.
