Kerosene works good, I would use WD40 I know it wont hurt the paint no more than the tar will and theres always a can of it around, technically its a mineral spirit in a can, Goo Gone if you want to spend more money.

Dint know that, maybe thats why it works so well. It cant be much its the solvent that does the trick, do the whole hood and you'll be ricing it up :clown:The only reason I would not use WD-40 is because it has graphite suspended in it.
