I managed to get 17 mpg on my 4 mile trip from the office on Sat evening. Even with hitting 90% of the lights at red. Babied the hell out of it, coasted for quarter miles leading up to read lights, and popped it over to manual shifting and pushed it to 6th gear even from a stop. (still don't fully get what the manual shifting is doing because it sure as hell isn't starting from a stop in 6th). Anyway, got a kick out of that after my previous threads. We'll see if I can keep it up. (I doubt it).

the manual shifting means you are setting the highest gear you want it to go to..has nothing to do with anything else so if u push it to 6th its the same as if you left it in drive. use it when u want to downshift or braking or to hold a gear longer than it would on its own. the manual explains alot by the way. :)
