The headlights on my 2002 Tundra will not turn off. I normally just leave them on at all times since they turn off when I turn off my truck or rather, when I open the door. Now when I turn off my truck and open the door they remain on. When I try and turn them off with the control on the column they also remain on. This just started today and I have been popping the hood and disconnecting the battery which does turn them off. When I reconnect the battery the lights do not come back on until I turn them on with the switch.
Doesn't seem like something as simple as a fuse so I am thinking that it's probably a bad switch? Anyone deal with this issue before? Anyone want to guess how much this is going to cost me? Any sage advice from those more mechanically inclined than me would be appreciated. Thanks.
115K and this is the first thing that has gone "wrong" with my truck. Not bad.
