During an oil change on my 2014 Tundra, 4WD SR5, 5.7 this part landed in the oil dump pan while I was taking the filter assemby off. Does anyone know where this goes?

I believe it is mounted next to the filter housing, possibly to keep the housing from coming loose. Mine is either removed, or bent out of the way. Don't think it will effect anything.

You are correct. I dropped by the dealer and the parts guy told me it is that....showed me on the parts diagram

My guess would have been road debris.

Did you run over any Chevy pickup trucks because it looks like something a Chevy would have used in their GPS system (pointer to go that way).......LOL
