just wondering why everyone is using slim subs for the crewmax? i had 3 10" jl w3's behind my crewmax and didnt lose almost no space. i put my box for sell here in the classifieds because i thought about running four tens because im stupid:D. is there any reason people are running the slim subs?

crewmax - thanks for the tip. i am planning on removing that black plastic trim panel on the back and that frees up some space, but not enough to run a quality 12" conventional sub with a deep magnet (mounting depth).

discoed - i'm leaning towards the alpine slims and can get a good price on them, just want to hear them first and haven't been able to talk to anyone who has them personally to get their feedback. had 3 jl12w6's before and not going for the same goal this time.
i agree you wont fit a 12" w6 in there but i know you can fit 3 12" w3's if you really want 12's. i almost went to the 13.5" w1 but decided to stay with 3 w1 10's. damn they hammer so hard the roof moves so much you can hear it:D i have it paired up with a alpine pdx1000.1. if you want loud clean for cheap i highly recommend them. they are quality subs and only need 4.3" mounting depth. that means you can use a 5" deep box and with removing the black piece in back you will only be around 2" past where the black piece is now. i dont think you lose any clicks that way. cant say for sure but well worth it .
