I'd go with the alpines. They'd match the amp specs better than the JL subs. Alpines wired in parallel would be 2 ohms and 8 ohms wired in series vs the Jl 1.5 ohms and 6 ohms.

I agree, I waited like 5 months for my SI.

James at Tech12volts got an SI sub and built a box for me but there was something wrong with the sub, he got another one and it still didnt sound right to him. I'm going on 4 months on waiting and looking for that sub.

Did SI give any expected time frame of when they'll come out with the new mkIV?
