I was able to get my new gas filter installed, however, while trying to remove the old filter a piece of the plastic supporting the line broke off. This is the support of the feed line just in front of the filter. I used some plastic ties to provide a bridge to the return line as it didn't brake off. Actually the filter clamp holds both lines in adequate support; however if that clamp bolt would break from rust, I'd have to rely on my ties. What should I do? It looks pretty solid but I just want to check to be sure.

Thanks,

Scoob

I wouldn't worry about it. Just take a peek at it when you do your oil changes. If the bolt starts showing deterioration from rust, replace the bolt.
