Hello,

Our LSPBV was a rusted barnacle. I have a new one. I read somewhere that the plunger had around a 1mm travel (not much travel to do what it’s asked I’d say, but that’s for another post). My question is should I be able to operate it by hand? I’m pushing on it pretty hard with a screwdriver or flat punch but I can’t get it to move. Surely it wouldn’t take the whole lever arm to move this thing would it?

Thanks

Crisis averted (in case anyone cares). The new valve is fine. I have learned that the plunger operation is opposite of what I thought. Instead of the adjusting rod pushing it in to regulate pressure, the plunger actually pushes out when pressurized and the rod regulates how far it can extend. Who knew?
