what car these days is not plastic? i love the interior, always have.. prob always will. it is very driver friendly i feel.
What are your feelings on the optional dash oplique? If you like woodgrain, you might try it. It would, at least, cut down on the plastic look.Any of you lucky new owners, are you getting used to the very plastic interior? I'm having a hard time convincing my wife that I need a new Tundra after she saw the interior. She likes the interior of our 04 DC Limited. I feel the same way about the use of hard, cheap looking plastic even in the limited, although I can overlook it with 381 hp.
I have to agree while I do like the new Tundra, the older previous generation especially the 00-04 interiors are nicer. For 05 they started using a new seat anchor the achor bolts look terrible. Also, I am not a big fan of the leather in the new Tundra and the door panels feel very cheap. I do like the centre console and the front dash and overhead compartments.Any of you lucky new owners, are you getting used to the very plastic interior? Just say "NO" to woodgrain applique! It's not fully adhered to the plastic so it buckles when you touch it. The version that I saw looked like melted chocolate - way too swirly and very shiny. When you look into the vents you can see the edges of the plastic.
