Did anyone convert the electric actuator to a manual methon on a 2002 tundra
Are you referring to the actuator in the front diff or the transfer case? If the transfer case, yes many have swapped to a manual type transfer case found in v6 tundras and tacomas. The ADD transfer case found in the v8's is the VF2AB model. The manual transfer case that is a direct swap is the VF2A.

If you swap the transfer case, you'll need to account for the front diff actuator. Otherwise, the front actuator won't engage if it can't tell the actuator in the transfer case is engaged. There is a couple options; either adapt a switch to engage/disengage the front actuator or "jump" the signal at one of the connectors to trick the 4WD ECU in thinking the the transfer case is engaged. Any of the swaps described is provided in these forums.

I've had a manual transfer case from a tacoma for over 10 years without issue, but I'm also SAC'ed (solid axle convert'ed).

Hope that helps.

Thank you very much it helps a great deal. The type of transfer case that I can substitute with was exactly my problem. What most of us do in my country as an alternative method is as follow
1. We use a pin mechanism to stick the front diff actuator in The engage position , so the CV is always spinning.
2. We remove the actuator from the transfer case to expose the shaft that the actuator turns to activate 2W H4 L4.
3. We then cut a hole in the center box compartment in the cabin that is directly above the transfer case.
4. A gear shift lever is then fabricated to sequentially shift the 3 positions .
Nevertheless I will be looking for the case you recommended because I travel in deep waters most time and it comes thought the hole flooding the vehicle very quickly.

Switching to a manual transfer case will help greatly, it's also a direct swap. The only thing you need to swap over from the ADD transfer case to the manual transfer is the input shift coupler. Here are some pics of when I did the swap: 2000 SAC'ed Tundra
