i ordered some bilstein 5100 front and rear and i was informed that they dont come with dust boots can i run them without or should i just go buy some

Run them without them. Shock boots just hold dirt and water inside of them and will case premature failure to the shock. The do more harm than good.

Were they new? I just got some last week from shockwarehouse.com and they came with them. I think you would want the boots to help keep them protected.

The shock boots on my Bilstein Heavy Duty's are completely open on the bottom and do indeed keep stuff from hitting or accumulting on the shock shaft.

They can't hold anything in as they are like a tube skirt on a woman.

i see and yes they said that most people do not use the boots for the zinc adjustable and i ordered the other ones

I asked the same question when I got my 5100s. I have the ride height adjustables on the front. The rears had a rubber boot. The fronts had no boot at all. That is how they are supposed to be run.
