Has anyone had problems with oil leaking between engine and transmission 2002 highlander with 3.0 engine---had it up on the hoist last night at work and noticed a small leak in that area----any problems with engine crankshaft rear seals?

Johnny, you could be wrong. RMS leaks are very rare in modern engines even with 200K on them.
My suspicion will be leaks from valve cover or the upper pan gasket.

I do have a "seepage" leak in that area. It has a very small amount of oil that seeps through at the bottom of the engine where the transmission and Engine mate together. I get about 2 drops per month from it. I have had the leak for about 2 years and while being very concerned at first. Over time the leak has not gotten and worse. I continue to use Mobile synthetic and have not gone back to Dino oil but folks say the oil seepage will stop if I switch back to regular Dino oil.
