I never made it out to a meet with some of the others from CA, but you all gave me honorary status for chiming in and representing y'all at the jamboree out here when we (TundraSoul, Simias, Boone, someone else too I think) danced to YMCA!

Yep TundraBear those were the good old days. You are definitely an Honorary Texan Where or where are our the CA Riders that use to visit us here in Texas?

I miss TundraRose (Judy), Simias (Chris), and Boone (Dan) so much they were true assets to TS. I sent Judy an email not that long ago, all is going well on her side of the fence. I know Cloud9 (Myke) is still out there, I get some of his funny emails and post the ones I can.

Hey, it does not matter if you are from Texas or not.....BUMP this thread so we know if any of you are still on the prowl on TS.com

Hey Folks!

I'm here, I'm here! I pop in every now and then. I miss seeing everyone on the board. Here's what's happening as of late. Mrs. Boone and I had our 2nd baby this past Tuesday (08/09). Cody was born at 1305 and weighed in at 7lb. 9oz. and is 19 1/2" long. I'm working 2.5 jobs. UPS from 3:30am to 9am and then 10 to 4 is construction and I'm still a volunteer FF in the evening. Oh-yeah, I'm at home every now and then but no time for the computer. I'ts 10:20pm and I'm doing a load of laundry. Talk about getting old

Now this post made my night. Congrats to the new addition to your family!

Sounds as if you are extremely busy. You know we go back a long way TOD, and remember what I told you...."Family comes first".

Getting older, yep I am - just like my truck. I think that is why we do not see a lot of our "old timers" online much.

Like ourselves or trucks have gotten older and several have just gotten busy with other things in life. I do still get emails from many of them.

Anyways, it was great to see ya pop in Texas and hear that all is going well with you and the family.

Be sure to come back and visit us when you can, after all you are an Honorary Texan.

Hi Gang! Just want to let you know that I am still alive and driving my Tundra !!

I have been very busy with selling my restaurants for the most part of this year. As of last Friday, I've sold Frank’s Pizza. I felt good and relieved for getting out of the business in a nice and rewarding way , but also felt a bit sad for leaving lots of fun memories (like all the Tundra meets) and my great employees .

I hope to also close on selling the F2/306 Lounge on Main Street in the next few days. It is not too late to make me an offer if you know anyone who wants to open a bar/cafe/restaruant at a great downtown location.

Besides running a restaurant, selling one is probably the most challenging and time demanding task that I’ve ever done. My wife is really happy, now that I can spend more time at home, especially on the weekends!! Pretty soon, I have to go look for a 'regular' job, something car related. If you know anyone in the auto business, please let me know.

When is the next TX Tundra meet? I am ready to attend one!!

Well I know a lot of the Texas Tundra Riders are kinda sad to hear about this. Speaking for the Texas Tundra Gang, we truly thank you for the numerous meets that you graciously had at Frank's Pizza. Still alive and kickin', been real busy at my job. I still get emails from some of our old timers. Like our trucks, they have gotten old too.

Seems like the thrill is gone for some of our Texas Tundra Gang and they do not post as much.

If any of our old timers by chance log on to TS.com, pop a post on this thread and let us hear from you.

I am still here I dont get online as much as I like to. The familys all doing ok. I built a brand new house in Beaumont to have Rita put water in it and loose some shingles a month after we moved in its not as bad as it sounds or compared to others I know. Where I work in Cameron LA we had about 9ft of water but the main plant structure is elevated 10ft so with the exception of the mess we were back up in a week. The residents in the area werent as lucky. There are houses that got up and floated a mile or so from where they should be. Just finished most of the repairs last week so all is normal if there is such a thing

So sorry to hear about the devastation that Rita reeked. On a good note, all of you are well.


I think it will be many years until all of the victims of Hurricane Katrina and Rita will recover from the massive destruction.

Kat and I hope to find some time to meet up with you and Kim. At this time, my work is totally crazy. Get somethin' fix and you think that you are 5 steps ahead only to find that what you just improved sets you back 20 steps.

I sure cannot wait to take my early retirement!

Guess its just me in here.
I wonder if once the old timers no longer have their Toyota's will they still check in an post around..

I am keeping mine till it falls apart. So I'll be here for a while

I think there are still alot of the Old Timers around, but since the format has changed our regional clubs don't pop out like they use to.

Also I think many people are getting older (like our trucks) and into other ventures. I know I definitely will be wetting hooks when I get some free time.

My Tundra is holding up great, I hope it has many more miles in it.

Old Fart - checkin' in

Howdy Gang!

Sorry I haven't been postin' my BS, gettin' a lot of that at work.
Well the kid (HOTundra) went and bought her a place in Brazoria Texas that's right purty with a boat slip and a pier.

Needless to say, between work and her new weekend get away it's been keepin' me too busy to get into too much trouble. But some how I do find the time to wet a hook.

Kinda sorry 'bout not seeing the activity level like it use to be, but I'm still in touch with several of our old timers.

Oh yeah, I finally got me a dent on the driver's side of the bed.

Now...

I have an old truck that I do not wash that much.

I'm still here. Sally I retired in November and it sure is nice not having to answer to anybody anymore. Joe and Dave it's been a while. A meet somewhere would be cool. For now I have an old dog (my buddy) that can't travel. He's on his last leg so as soon as he goes look out world here I come.:dog2:
