MERRY X-MAS TO ALL

Man, it is sure nice to see some of you "old-timers" still out there. For me its coming up on 5 years here on TS and I can honestly say I have met some of the nicest people I know at our old Tundra meets. THIS spring we REALLY do need to have another BIG TEXAS TUNDRA MEET. Kinda to show all the newer members how its done. :tu:

Dave, sorry to hear about your truck getting wrecked. By the way I remember our first Texas Tundra Meet well. As far as I know it has been the only campout meet the Texas guys have had.
David, sorry to hear you sold Franks Pizza in downtown Houston, but hey you have to CASH out evey once in a while. ;) Congrats.
Sally, hope all is going well for you up there in the capitol.
Erik, Mell and the rest, hope this past year has been good to you.

Now how about some of you other old-timers, pop a post. Wheres Ron, Mike, Adam, Floyd,...................?

Been real busy.
I had been poking my head in, but just never get around to posting.

By the way what constitutes and old timer..
I like to think of myself as a Youngin' that has been here an "Old Time"
If memory serves me right, I was the first Texas TS Sequoia in the bunch.

Yall take care

Hum, good question. Guess somebody that was around in the "old days". What are old days, heck I don't know, the old days. How about more than a year or so.

Your right, YOU are/were the first Texas TS Sequoia. :tu:

Hi Gang! Just want to let you know that I am still alive and driving my Tundra:D !!

I have been very busy with selling my restaurants for the most part of this year. As of last Friday, I've sold Frank’s Pizza:eek:. I felt good and relieved for getting out of the business in a nice and rewarding way:sleep: , but also felt a bit sad for leaving lots of fun memories (like all the Tundra meets) and my great employees:( .

I hope to also close on selling the F2/306 Lounge on Main Street in the next few days. It is not too late to make me an offer if you know anyone who wants to open a bar/cafe/restaruant at a great downtown location.

Besides running a restaurant, selling one is probably the most challenging and time demanding task that I’ve ever done. My wife is really happy, now that I can spend more time at home, especially on the weekends!! Pretty soon, I have to go look for a 'regular' job, something car related. If you know anyone in the auto business, please let me know.

When is the next TX Tundra meet? I am ready to attend one!!

HAVE A SAFE HOLIDAY SEASON AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO Y’ALL!!

David
Hey there David!

Well I know a lot of the Texas Tundra Riders are kinda sad to hear about this. Speaking for the Texas Tundra Gang, we truly thank you for the numerous meets that you graciously had at Frank's Pizza. But with the coming New Year, we know you will have a great venture ahead of you. Be sure to keep us posted

Missed out on wishing all of you a Merry Christmas, but not to late to wish each and everyone of you the best of wishes in 2006!

Hey there all!

Still alive and kickin', been real busy at my job. I still get emails from some of our old timers. Like our trucks, they have gotten old too. :p

Seems like the thrill is gone for some of our Texas Tundra Gang and they do not post as much.

If any of our old timers by chance log on to TS.com, pop a post on this thread and let us hear from you.

Dan & Kat:)

P.S. I see LZGUY online, he just ain't postin'. :D

I am still here I dont get online as much as I like to. The familys all doing ok. I built a brand new house in Beaumont to have Rita put water in it and loose some shingles a month after we moved in its not as bad as it sounds or compared to others I know. Where I work in Cameron LA we had about 9ft of water but the main plant structure is elevated 10ft so with the exception of the mess we were back up in a week. The residents in the area werent as lucky. There are houses that got up and floated a mile or so from where they should be. Just finished most of the repairs last week so all is normal if there is such a thing:tu:

Hi there Wade!

So sorry to hear about the devastation that Rita reeked. On a good note, all of you are well.

I think it will be many years until all of the victims of Hurricane Katrina and Rita will recover from the massive destruction.

Keep us posted and updated as improvements are made.

Hey there stranger!

Well, it sounds as if you've been having fun Floyd.:D

WOW! If your truck is any louder I bet it will definately set a few alarms off.

Kat and I hope to find some time to meet up with you and Kim. At this time, my work is totally crazy. Get somethin' fix and you think that you are 5 steps ahead only to find that what you just improved sets you back 20 steps.

I sure cannot wait to take my early retirement!

Take care!

I think there are still alot of the Old Timers around, but since the format has changed our regional clubs don't pop out like they use to.

Also I think many people are getting older (like our trucks) and into other ventures. I know I definitely will be wetting hooks when I get some free time.

My Tundra is holding up great, I hope it has many more miles in it.

Dan ;)

Hey ya'll from the West coast! I saw something earlier about 4 point font, so this should make it even easier on you! :D I went to a 6!

OK, maybe that was too much. I'll crank it down to a 4. I almost missed this thread. Usually I'm not scanning the other "regions" threads.

Looks like this coming summer I'll need to get my eyes checked for real and I'll probably end up with some reading glasses. It's the up close stuff that get's me. :( My daughter turns 9 on Cinco De Mayo and my son turned 5 last Thanksgiving Day. I picked up the Tundra from Dianne on a special order exactly 5 days before he was born. Perfect timing!

Still modding my truck. The last thing the ol' girl received was an updated front end (aka a grill guard and winch)! :D Now's she's sagging a bit  , so some new springs for the front are on order. In fact, we just paid her off a couple of months ago. :tu: We have two camping trips coming up in June and July, both to Oregon. The first will be to the coast (Umpqua Lighthouse state park) for a week and the second trip will be up to Crater Lake and then onto Bend and the lava tubes. I can hardly wait!

Here's hoping everyone is healthy and happy with whatever you are doing!

Cheers!
