Both the Pioneer and Alpine units are good... remember that Crutchfield is a "might as well be retail" internet dealer but they are about the only authorized online dealer (meaning full warranty). You can find may things cheaper at sonicelectronix.com and others but the warranty is through them, not the factory. I believe that PAC has a direct connection for the steering wheel controls for the Pioneer but I'm not sure about the Alpine as I've never looked for one.

Clarion has always been more money for the same features in my experience. The new Kenwood units are very solid also and are a good choice too.
