I have the stock rims with stock tire size of 265/70/16.
I'm curious to see what others have used on their stock rims without the tires rubbing on the wheel well. I dont really care to stick with the standard size, I just want to get the most bang for my buck.
I think I might have found one thats 265/75/16. Would that work?
I seem to be finding more 265/75/16 than stock.

I forgot to mention, my truck has stock height.

I had 285/75/16s on my truck its a 2wd trd offroad with no lift. They rubbed a little at full lock. Now i have 295/75/16s and they hit the frame at full lock. I would like to lift the front a little but im not having any other problems. There is about a 1/4 inch between the tire and upper control arm.

1.25" sitting. The LT265/75R16 is the largest size I'd run at stock height. My $0.02.
Thanks. Right now, my plan is 5100s on all 4 corners (front set at 2.5"), Wheelers or Toytec aal, and Camburg UCA. BFG Rugged Trail take offs from a TRD Gen2 can be had for cheap, and I think would fit perfectly on my TRD/BBS rims - 275 65 18. I'm just wondering if I can do everything except the UCA upgrade, and add it later when funding permits.

I have a 2000 tundra with a 2.5 NCD coil spacers and 285 bfgs and when i got them on they rubbed on the UCA and the frame at lock so I invested in wheel spacers and not even a slight rub even off-road, i think i paid 125 for all 4 with free shipping off ebay and they dont look bad and they dont stick out that far it still looks stock and i would love to run 295 hankooks since that is the only mud terrain i can find for a 295, i might go for the general grabber at2s

In searching the millions of threads on here I have also found the 265/75/16 to be the largest to go on the stock 16's without rubbing. Been debating between those and dropping the factory wheels for some 285/75/16's and new wheels/lift....

Currently have stock 16" TRD wheels with 265/75/16's with 5100's up from on top notch and rear AAL from wheelers. Plan on 285's in the future and wheel adaptors that i have already bought. my cousin has 305/70/16's on his truck, didn't look to see if they rub or not. he has coil overs and stock rear.

'04 TRD, went from 265/70/16 to 265/75/16 and there was no need for a lift kit... Made truck look more like a truck and BFG AT T/A KO look great, and are about an inch taller than stock without going overboard. No change in MPG and didn't feel any loss in power.

265 75 R16 will work on your stock wheels with no lift.
I'm running Firestone Destination AT 10PLY tires. No problems in turning at full lock.
