2000 Tundra 200,000 k and when I went to replace the sensor the nuts on the studs are just a blob of metal that you can't get a socket on.
What is the secret to getting them off without too much damage to the stud threads?
After reading some of the hints on here I soaked the nuts in penetrating oil for about 3 days and even wrapped a small piece of cloth
around bolts and soaked it as well. Then I cut into the nuts with a dremel being carefull not to damage threads on bolts then took a small chissle and placed it into the cut I had made and whacked it counter clockwise a couple of times till the nut came loose. I cleaned up the threads and everything looks good. The small heatshield that protects the sensor didn't quite fit on because the new sensor was slightly larger so I ground it out a little til it fit.
