Well, I removed and painted my grill emblem today. I thought that I had some black paint left, but all I had was grey. So, my emblem is grey. I'm going to drive it for a few days to decide whether I want it black, or just stick with grey. After seeing it grey all day, I kind of like it.

I also added a pair of rectangle driving lights under the front fascia. They fit into the recession very well. I made brackets out of aluminum stock and bolted them where the tow hooks once lived.

I guess I'm the only guy around that likes the chrome logo? I think that painting it cheapens the look (although I like the gray MUCH better than black).... more like a base-level truck. And, I like your idea about adding the rectangular lights, BUT... you still have empty fog-light holes in the bumper! It looks kinda silly to add "cholo" lights to the bottom when you have empty slots for others! IMO of course :behindsofa:

LOL - well, in several of the trailer parks I patrol, you'll usually find areas with mid-80's Cutlass's on 22's, El-Camino's, and low-rider S-10's... with big, rectangular fog-lights bolted to the bottom. You'd never mistake them for being stock... and they usually add to the general Cholo look you find in Detroit.

"Cholo" is slang for a Mexican Gangster. It comes from a couple decades ago, when the Mexican Gangsters would wear Chino's (up high on the waist)... and button-shirts over wife-beater tank tops.

You must have missed the link in your sticking throttle thread before it got nuked. The factory slot is already being used for another purpose. :D

LOL - with all that twisting/constricting in the hose, are you really seeing any benefits? I don't know how it can be a "Ram-Air" when it meets so many obstructions :confuseda: Unless the "suck" is powerful enough to pull the air in ...?

LOL - yeah, that was a quick "crash-course" introduction. I should have said, "See the movie 'Colors'."

The hose remains full diameter all the way to the air box.
We often refer to ram air as fresh/cold air. Ram air traditionally relates to valve timing and intake air speed usually in relation to intake runner length.
I'll see if I can find you a link to ram air.

True ram air induction...
Ram Theory

This is what it has come to represent...

Vararam Industries - About

I am using the latter, which is cold air induction from a higher than ambient pressure source, I.E., the front bumper fog lamp opening.

the "ram air" vaccuum cleaner hose mod...eh.....as long as u think u got gains from it, then good for u again.
