I thought that some of you might be interested in an inexpensive solution
to scuffing up the paint on the door sill when getting in or out of the truck.
I found these Auto Vent Shade Universal Door Sill Protectors at AutoAnything.
They are easy to trim with just scissors to make them fit as you choose, and
are flexible enough to contour to the lines of the sill. They simply attach with
3M tape, that is already installed when you receive them. It took me all of a
half an hour to do all four doors, and that was taking my time. They also wrap
around, and cover about a 1/2 inch of the verticle surface of the sill area. Have
had them on for about 6 months, with no issues, and no more scratches to the
paint on the sill. Cost was around $45.00 for the set of 4, shipped.

I meant to add that these are several time thicker than the factory sill protectors
also. And, they have enough of a raised anti slip area to keep your shoes from
slipping off.

Nice find and thanks for sharing. I have the factory ones that are metal??? Anyway, they work but these don't look out of place at all.

Nice the factory ones are worthless as they do not cover where the metal turns down.
