I have what is, hopefully, an easy question about the audio system in the Tacoma. I'll get getting a new 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport later this summer and I was curious about the USB port. Does anyone know if it provides enough power to run a smal external hard drive, say a 1TB Western Digital Passport drive? Mine will have the Entune Premium JBL Audio system. I rarely keep music on my phone and I'd rather not mess with my old iPod Classic. I'd rather pickup a 1TB drive that would hold my entire music collection and then some, and then just leave it in the truck. If I can use the steering wheel/audio controls to access and control the music on the hard drive, I'd be set.

I'll be replacing a 2009 Camry that I purchased in April 2008. It had Bluetooth controls for talking on the phone, but not for music access, and there is no USB port as those were just starting to come into use in vehicles, so I'm not really familiar with what most vehicles come with these days and how they operate.

Thanks.
