So I replaced my rack and pinion and power steering pump, and other suspension parts . However, upon driving it , when I brake it makes a odd bong noise. Any ideas? Brakes pads are new too btw. It wasn’t doing this noise before replacing the above parts.

with your car on and in park have someone turn the wheel from side to side and watch your rack and see if anything isn't locked down.

did you touch the stabilizer links when you did all the other stuff? i did a big refresh years ago and had a big clunk sound that wasn't there before. needed to tighten the end links properly. do you hear it only when braking or when the suspension is loaded for other reasons like going over big bumps or rolling thru a sharp turn?

Stabilizer links were touched. I only hear that noise when I break either if I break gently or at a complete stop roughly
