I took my family on a vacation to So Cal, San Clemente area. Drove down from Utah last weekend and everything went fine, without a hitch. Been here for a few days and today it started to cough and sputter when I applied gas. If I start out real real slow it does just fine, however I can only take it to 1500-2000 rpm before it coughs and sputters. We plan on driving home this weekend, hopefully.

Have limited tools, change fuel filter today and spark plugs.

Any ideas? Thoughts? Just hit 107K miles.

Thanks

I will try that tomorrow am. Thanks.

At idle, it seems to idle low, it does ok. Only when gas is applied does it sputter/cough.

Tried the throttle body clean out this morning, it was dirty, I have seen worse though. ALl in all it did not help. I stopped in at a local shop they scanned it and it showed over 8 codes. MAF sensor, Oxy sensors, and some cylinder codes. I can only assume that the cylinder codes are showing because of the other codes causing misfires etc.

So here I sit at Capistrano Toyota/Scion.....hope that parts aren't going to kill me!

Thanks again
