I realize that there are many people with experience installing the TRD Supercharger on 4Runners, Tacomas and T100s with the 3.4L V6 engine, but not so many people who have removed them and returned the vehicle to stock, but I would like to do just that. I have a 2001 Toyota 4Runner with that setup, I bought it used, I did not chose to install this Supercharger, and had no idea how much more it would cost me in gas, maintenance and aggravation. Most recently, I needed a new knock sensor installed on the engine, which is normally a quick and easy 20 minute fix. Not with the supercharger, the whole thing has to come off just to get to the sensor. I'm done. I don't care about going fast, I just want a reliable, comfortable SUV that's good in the snow, and better on gas.

Has anyone ever removed the TRD 3.4L V6 Supercharger and returned the car to stock? What does this entail, in terms of parts, labor and work to the computer, timing, etc?

I'd really like to know some input on this.
