I am curious, because I am about to embark upon swapping out my JBL in my 04 Tundra DC. Once you found the AMP, how hard would it have been (if I keep my existing speakers) to run the new wiring to the location of the old amp, replace the old amp with the new amp and the wiring from the new stereo, then the existing speaker wires just plug into the new amp? Basically, I am looking to just replace the stereo and amp and not wanting to run new wiring to the existing speakers if I do not have to (unplug from old AMP and plug into new amp). Based on what you did/saw, can this be done or is it back to the connectors again?
Two more questions: Where are the 7th and 8th speakers located in the Tundra DC? I have a pair by the handles in the front seat, a pair in the front doors, and a pair in the backseat doors, but can't find the 7th and 8th. Also, what after market stereo can push 8 speakers? Or are you relying on the amp to push the 8 speakers?
