Sequoia Overlander?

Hello,

I am new... Found this researching suspension options for a 2014 Sequoia.
Long and short, I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, with a growing family I need larger SUV that can also service some off road needs. I have been disappointed with my Jeeps reliability and miss my 4runner.

Would love some feedback on;
How reliable are gen 2 Sequoia's?
Will a 3' spacer lift cause problems down the road?
what lift would you all recommend?
Is the Sequoia a good choice for Daily and overloading? specifically on the reliability front.

Any and all thoughts would be appreciated.

See my thread titled 2008 Sequoia SR5 Overlander. I haven’t updated lately, but we’ve been using ours that way for 3-4 years and love it!

It’s a fantastic family overland rig, with obvious limitations when compared to your Jeep...but maintenance problems are not one of them.

The following thread has a discussion of the relative merits of a front spacer lift vs. a coilover lift.

I would recommend staying away from a front spacer lift.

Forgot to address that point. Agree 100% with MtnClimber. Based on my experience with fully upgrading the suspension vs all the negative I’ve heard about spacers, new coil overs and springs are the way to go if you want to maximize off-roading capability.

Bilsteins at highest setting plus 2" rear spacer. Gives you slight rake unloaded and level fully loaded.
