Should I or Shouldn't I? Recall Opinions Needed

Hello my fellow Tundra owners. As the owner of a 2010 Tundra, obviously I'm being contacted by Toyota dealers telling me to come in & have the pedal shim installed. But after reading posts on this board & others, my mind isn't made up if I should have it installed or not. (at this time)

My reasons are thus.....

A possible non-problem & witch hunt against Toyota, the shims make the pedal slow & semi-unresponsive, it may be an electronic problem & not the pedal, they're continuing to research the "problem" & may say it's something else soon, blah, blah, blah

So my question is this, would it be wise to wait awhile longer & see what, if any, new developments arise? On one hand I want it done now so the wear problem on the pedal doesn't develop, (if it actually does wear down) but on the other hand, I'd hate to take it in & have a weird feeling pedal or find out it wasn't really the problem to begin with

Is anyone else waiting it out? Is anyone happy with the shim fix?

Thanks for any thoughts

Just got my recall notice today but I think I'm going to let the next owner decide (hopefully many years from now) whether or not they want it done. I like the feel of the pedal as is....it gives me the feedback I want and has a nice firm return, nothing wrong with this one!
