sliders on suspension

im looking at getting some bolt on sliders, yet i might go with weld ons but thats not the issue im worried about. My question is with the donahoe 2.5 front spacers will the weight of the sliders kinda act like a front custom bumper in the way of making the front sag? i would think the sliders would push the weight to the front....? any thoughts?

No, I would say they weigh about 100 lbs, but at most 150. so 75 each. That weight is divided all the way down the side of your truck, so in reality, you have maybe 30 lbs extra on the front suspension.

thats what i thought but i couldnt decide on my own answer
I have the Donhoe's at the factory 2" setting on my 05 DC and bought a set of weld on sliders from Richard Stubbs - the package weighed 70 or so pounds when it arrived, so you are looking at about 35 a piece - not enough to make a difference. If you have not decided on your slider supplier, I can't recommend Richard enough. Excellent craftmanship and a super guy to deal with. Please give him some business. The world needs more people like him.

Stubbs :tu::tu:...too bad shipping for what I wanted would have been outrageous.

Not all sliders weigh the same...it really depends what you specify, how they mount, even including bolts. Total dressed weight (paint, bolts, sealer, backing plates) of one of my finished sliders is pushing 100#.

They also double as landing skids, from what I've found so far .
