First of all, do you have a lift? If not, you should with tires that size. I'd recommend about 2.5 or 3 inches. Then go with 1.5-inch wheel adapters.

Then go with 1.5-inch wheel adapters.I have a 2001 Tundra TRD Off road 2WD with stock rims. I put 285x75/R16s and have a minor inside rub with the frame on full wheel turn. Has anyone encountered this and come up with a cheap, safe solution?
why not? it would have looked cool. Not sure about your year truck, but on my 05 DC I had to remove the front mud flaps. That took care of the rubbing issue. It actually only rubbed on one side, but I wasn't going to leave just one flap on.
