My local dealer gave me a diagnosis of a spun rod bearing for the lifter tick in my 05 limited DC I state it like this because I don't believe them I think they went fishing to try to get me to buy a new vehicle after giving me the it needs a new engine and we can do it but here is the quote 7500.
And why I don't believe them.
1. No metal in oil
2. The engine is not missing cylinders it is smooth all the way to 4k rpm
3. It doesn't sound like rod knock it sounds like really bad lifter tick.
Anyone else think my dealer is trying to take me for a ride?
