well the sheriff's found the truck about ½ mile from my buddy's place. nothing was stolen from the cab or bed. unfortunately after picking it up from the impound, it kept stalling on him and then finally died. they took it to toyota and the service department said it was the "throttle assembly" was damaged. they want close to $1400 for parts and labor!!!

anyways, at least he's got it back.
Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been in here in ages!

Damn!! That's a lot of mula! See if he can find a tundra in the yard and get the TB himself. I'm sure that labor isn't that hard.

BTW, that's a nice truck! Why did you sell it? I still like the older tundra's over the new ones. And if I have one now, that's exactly how I'd fix it up.
the new owner actually has a family member inside toyota so he bought the new oem part for half price.

i sold it for a 2006 double cab. still black, but upped to a limited edition. see my sig for what i've done so far. still searching for a place (local) to repack the fabtechs. also got some welds sitting in the garage till the stock tires wear out.
Dang....nice! Hope this is not your daily driver. How much MPG is the newer Tundra doing now these days?

of course it's my daily driver! i don't worry so much about the mileage because i'm only 4 miles from the office and work pays for my miles so it's all good. but i can tell you that i get about 250 miles per fill up and i'm using chevron 89 octane religiously.
Damn!!! That's not bad for a rig like that. Also, you are fortunate to have an employer pay for your commute. I gotta get me a boss like that. :p

sorry dennis. they don't pay my 4 miles, but whatever i put on the truck while on business...like that one time i stopped by your place. i think i was on the clock and logged those miles.
I figured that. ;-)
