That's a pretty good price. Platinum warranty does cover the supercharger :)

Here's my conundrum concerning warranty/blower.

I've already got the 7/100K from the TS vendor for the same price. (Handy [?] Toyota)

It will cover the blower IF a dealer does the install.

If I do the install, I still have the same Platinum warranty EXCEPT that the blower/components warranty is only 1 year/12,000 miles.

By the time I get the S/C, I'll have 50K+- miles on the truck.

So basically I would be paying aprox. $900+ extra to get 50K miles coverage on JUST THE S/C and related parts. ($$ paid to do the install)

I suppose with the myriad of tuning issues going on, it may be worth it. On the other hand, once Toy releases its claw-like grip on its codes........decisions, decisions.

A grand for the 7/100 Platinum.. Can you send me contact info please... I will need in a couple of months.... Thanks in advance.

I don't mean to be a dick (just comes honestly.....:)) but sites like Tundra Solutions rely HEAVILY on the ad dollar of authorized vendors/dealers.

This dealer PAYS to advertise the same deal on Platinum warranties and I can vouch for customer service:

Even though I believe 100% that spam was NOT the intention of the OP, it certainly could be mistaken for it.

The supercharger will outlast the warranty on your truck and will go well over 100K before it needs to be 'freshened up'. The warranty will not cover this anyway, so I say dont worry about an extended warranty for one, especially if you have to pay extra for the SC coverage.

If anything ever did happen to the unit (or needs to be rebuilt) Magnuson-Eaton (*who made it) would fix it and are very reasonable.

Magna Charger manufacturers intercooled supercharging systems for late model GM and Ford cars, trucks and SUVs utilizing OEM quality Eaton hybrid superchargers.

Check out their 'reman' section.

Believe me its worth it. After I blew my motor, having the dealer install it saved me about 10k.

IF THE DEALER OR INDIVIDUAL INSTALLS THE SC DOES NOT AFFECT THE WARRANTY FOR THE TRUCK ONLY THE SC!!!

Your blown motor would of been covered by your warranty if the dealer installed it or one of your buddies.
And unless the blower itself cost 10K (*and failed) it is not worth spending extra money for SC insurance.
