I bought a subwoofer box for my extended cab 07 tacoma on ebay and i just got it today. I tried putting it in and it wont fit in. anyone have the same box? is there a special way to put it in?

to be honest, I havent tried, I just noticed it said it in the instructions of how to install the sub on a website i read. have you checked out 2005 Toyota Tacoma Speaker and Dash Mount Kits they might have some suggestions. sorry to be no help.

I would suggest removing the rear seat and then reinstalling it once the sub box is in. The seat is gonna be a little softer and easier to flex into place vs. the MDF. I don't know otherwise though...

Anyone here install that subwoofer box in the link? I'm curious if you can still open the rear seats and get to the storage compartment.
