For the record, with my 285/65/18s (about 32.8" according to specs - they actually measure a lot smaller), I notice it doesn't redline as high, but it's fine for cruising. It stays in 6th speed on the highway and doesn't excessively shift.
mine likes to shift way more than it did with stock wheels/tires. im sure the weight of the aftermarket wheels and larger tires has something to do with it too... i am just sick of it shifting all the time. i have lived with it for 2 years, but at this point i am ready to spend $200 for the module if it will help me out.
Bocephus.... Im running the exact same tire and size. I have a uni-chip with mine also and sometimes notice a big power loss (low rpm) when i hit 2nd gear if i push the pedal to the floor. Im wanting to get the hypertech when I get back from my deployment. Let me know if it helps. I want mine to run just as good as it did stock but with all the upgrades. Also... are you having difficulties with balancing those ATZ's?? I seem to have to get mine balanced all the time. Don't know if im throwing weights, or if Discount tire is just jackin it up for me.
Ewespank, check out some dynabeads. They're about $40 but can be inserted into the valvestems. Apparently they'll make any tire run smooth as glass as well as never have to be balanced again. Check out their website.
hypertech made shifting smoother just like stock. good investment. i have 15% off coupon code (CPC15) for autoanything and i think it's expiring in 2 days. they have 1 yr price match guarantee so get it from them now and worry about the prices later.
