I haven't done this in a while...just change and re-fill, correct? I got the crush washers for the drain and fill plugs. And I got the additive for my LSD.

Anything else to keep in mind?

Open the fill ports first. You don't want to find out after you've drained them that you can't fill them.

Nothing else...just never forget to make sure you can remove the fill plug, before you even try to remove the drain plug . That's got a couple people I know :lol:.

and somewhere in there you'll find a DIY for changing the rear differential
fluid. Good luck. The advice previously given about removing the fill plug
first is very good.

It takes a 24mm 6-point socket.

Jack up the left side of the truck, to get out as much of the old oil that you can.

Instead of the goofy oil pump, use one of these filler spouts:
Hopkins Transmission Fluid Filler Spout, Model 10106B/6 (usahardware.com)

No need to drop the spare with this gadget. I wedged the bottle between the spare & load proportioning valve line.
