Looks like Toyota was planning on a street truck with all the TRD goodies like the Dodge Ram SRT-10 and another offroad truck like the Ford Raptor.

That was in 2007...production cost to high for how much they can make for people to buy those extras for their trucks
That look is so much nicer.

Wow, I never knew Toyota had planned an IRS rig... makes me want to swap in the Sequoia rear section even more....
Points to all those who still like to dream!!!!!!
just toyota making crap decisions about there car and truck models and having TRD so they can rake peoples wallets
WOW, that is one bad *** truck! I wish I could have bought one. Wonder how good it would be using it like a truck?
Yuck..not my taste at all.
I don't particularly care for the sport truck but I really would have like to have seen a challenger to the raptor. Oh well, dare to dream.

Agreed. If I wanted a dodge, I would have bought one. A riced out dodge at that. Ack :fear:
The power is nice but the truck is fugly
Might work for a rich street punk teen . . . . . ?
Looks silly. Bet it comes with a weedeater exhaust too...

That would be kindaaa hard to make 5.7 sound like a weedeater...

S/C whines like a woman though ;)
ah, man i want to see pics of the raptor beater....damn that fugly grilled thing and people who think they're [email protected]! (jk)

i hate that raptor grille more than anything i've seen lately

i guess it is pretty cool that ford has the balls to make and sell it though.

the sport truck would be a good bike hauler...nice and low...easy to push your bike into the bed....but i was thinking the same as the gregp63, you can make your own already...except some of the plastics
"...Competition Mode. With the push of a button, the Tundra's vehicle stability control system would be temporarily fully disabled, so you could tear up the track without throttle or brake intervention and without redundant in-cabin warning beeps that tell you when you've lost traction."

Why can't all of the Tundra's be like this? Are there that many people who don't know how to drive, and require all these nannies? I wish Toyota would offer the "Compition Mode" as one of the accessories. I wouldn't be surprised if it's plug-n-play.

I agree. It doesn't sound like it would take much for them to do it either.
Instead of that fancy do nothing crap put out a no non-sense 4x4 diesel work truck with an 8 ft bed and seating for 6.
