I'm fairly sure you've seen Toyota offering these free maintenance plans now. For instance for a limited time get a free maintenance plan when you buy or lease a new Toyota and so on. What people may not know is that the plan by default is for two years or 25,000 miles whichever comes first.

So what about after two years or 25,000 miles when the factory recommended maintenance can get expensive real quick? Here's the interesting part, you can always buy longer plans up-to 4 years for around $450.00, but don't quote me since this can vary by dealer.

If you think about it, the cost of the plan is dirt cheap when compared to those 15, 30, 45, 60k recommended maintenance costs. Keep that in mind the next time you're in the finance office and he/she asks you about a maintenance plan you'll probably want to opt for a longer plan if you plan on keeping your vehicle longer.

Always my best,
Lon
