Hybrids are only an interim offering. Who wants to maintain two drive trains?

Prius owners do, the ones that go 200-300k miles. I would love a hybrid when I have to be in my truck idling at work for extended periods with the ac on or creeping around town at low speed.

Electric vehicles are great and all. Maybe city fleets or urbanites. Talking about technology, electric vehicles remind me of AA and AAA batteries.

Decades to return? I agree they could be round for a while longer but if you suppose it'll be around for many years might you say the equal element about eight tracks, beta, vhs, cassettes, cd's and so on? I understand, now not the same as a car, however era does seem to be shifting quicker and faster. Just think of what a 2000 toyota tundra had in it for technology and in which it's far nowadays.

Most manufacturers are jumping off the EV bandwagon, and thank God for that. My wish is that Toyota return to a simpler pre-2015 Tundra with less tech.
