Well the tranny is smoother in first three gears but the overdrive is growling like a banshee. I was looking around the net and found a place called 24hr transmissions .com They have affiliates all over the country. They will tow within 100 miles and install a remanufactured tranny with all updates and inprovements per service reports, and give a 3 year 75,000 mile warranty on my 2000 Tundra automatic for $1697 installed, complete. Does this sound too good to be true? Has anyone had any dealings with this company? I'd really like to get any input from the rest of you folks before I pull the trigger on this one.

This does sound too good to be true. A remanufactured tranny from toyota cost at least $2100 plus a $1000 core charge. Couldn't tell you how much the labor will cost.

I bought mine used with 15k miles on it and had it shipped from FL to CA for $1500 total. Installed it myself with a couple of helping hands.

The price isn't bad, but I don't know of their workmanship.
