Does anyone know where I can get the stainless steel tips that come with the TRD exhaust? And how much they are?

I'm thinking of putting on a true dual exhaust:
2- 40 series flowmasters,
1-Xpipe after cats,
2-TRD tips (don't know where I can get these alone), and
all aluminum pipe

All I need are the tips otherwise i'll go with just with stock look on aluminum pipe.

I got a quote from a local muffler shop on all this for $290 (except the tips) is that a good price?

Thanks, for any replys!

Yea thats a decent price for an ALUMINIZED exhaust system. I was quoted $300. But I dont want an Aluminized system, they rust, dont look good, and suck. I'd rather save up and get the stainless steel system. Never rust, and looks great from the back. (Bad thing about tundras is, you can see alot of the exhaust pipe, just standing behind the truck...) I asked a TRD parts guy at Fred Haas Toyota, and he said, "nope, they dont sell just the tips". Which is reasonable. If they sold just the tips, everyone would get $300 exhaust systems, and slap the TRD tips on, and noone would by their $700 Stainless system...My $0.02.

Go with the Bassani... Its $489 at some Toyota/TRD dealer on this site I think...
I am very interested in some Bassani's for myself but I would really like to hear one in person before I buy. I have been unsuccessful so far in finding someone around here (TEXAS) that has some that I can hear.

I got another quote:

true duals: 2-borla cat back w/ x-pipe for $400 no tips. Aluminum pipe!

I know aluminum rusts pretty fast but I imagine the stainless steel would double that price.

What to you all think? Would it be the same to get 2 basanni or borla muffs with aluminum 2.5" pipe? or would it be better to get a single-in/dual-out stainless steel bassani or borla?

I'm in no hurry to get them really but it would be cool to hear them if you ever come down. Maybe you could join us at one of our meets even. I probably won't be buying an exhaust till this summer anyways but who knows...if I fall in love with the exhaust, I've been known to buy things on impulse...hehe

I'll most definately be in Louisiana this summer, most likely in June. I'll see if I can make a trip to Texas while I'm there. Anyways... they sound sweeter after a long drive....
