Went to a PCA track event at Virgina International Raceway earlier this week and noticed an interesting trend.

Usually at the Porsche Club events you see a lot of Cayenne S's pulling open trailers, and F250s and up for the enclosed ones... This week it seemed more like a Tundra Enthusiast event than a Porsche Club!

Two guys with Caymans and open trailers

Think this one also had an open trailer (didn't see it hauling)

Mine with a 22 ft enclosed (probably the heaviest of those there) for my wife's M3 (she started off with a 911 and still is an instructor for this club)

Another similar setup to mine but with a nicer aluminum rig pulling a 911

Some 1st gen love pulling a 944

And of course the track truck at VIR

As we were packing up to leave, the Ferrari Club had the track rented out for the next few days... they arrive in a WHOLE different level of style.

nice. yeah ive seen the porsche guys staying pure with the cayenne as the tow vehicle (it does have an impressive tow rating), but honestly there are some people think the porsche cayenne is a non enthusiast vehicle and sacrilege for porsche to make it...so they wont...glad to see the T's out there pullin instead of domestics though, nicely refreshing.
