I was changing the YAW rate sensor on my 1st gen and when I took the center console out, there were two unused connectors (brown and black). Does anybody know what they are for?

Those might be the heated seat wiring. If your rig doesn't have heated seats, they connect to nothing. It's cheaper to have one wiring harness that has all possible connections than have several different ones.

I was suspecting that those may be the connectors for heated seats. I may check under the seat if there is another connector that's hanging. Maybe all I need to do to add heating to the seats is the pad and a switch. Wiring maybe all done - curtesy of Toyota.

Others have done this. You’ll just need some basic wiring skills and those OEM Connectors and Heat Elements
