hi, i just got my road/speed limitor disabled from UNICHIP.
i posted the thread here in gen1.
and on 2 other forums.
the reason i'm in your forum gen2, is to tell you.
that there is a guy on the tundrageeks forum, that has his road/speed limitor disabled.
i figured you might want to know.
so i posted this thread for you, if your interested.:td::tu:

Definitely interested! Do they program the Unichip at Unichip or is something that has to be accomplished a Unichip Tuner Shop to rid the speed limiter?

From what I've read out here, any chip you buy from Unichip, will have to go to the tuner in order for your Gen2 to run correctly.

hi, only unichip, that i know of can do this.
honestly i had my cookie cutter unichip, than i had it custom tuned.
at the end of the custom tune i gained another 20more rwhp & 21rwt.
so in my option it is well worth it.
that is on top of what unichip claims it gives for your vehicle.
i continued to ask about my 05, that i wanted the road/speed limitor disabled.
UNICHIP never once gave up on me, & my request.
it took time, thats all. it felt like forever, but it's here. & i have it. ;-)

i told everyone in gen1 what to look for, when you go in for a custom tune.
maybe you should cut & paste it, if you knew how. i have no idea how to do these thing's.

1st make sure the custom tune place is authorized unichip tuner.
than make sure there software has all there up-dates, to the day you get there.
if not your wasting your time.
unichip comes out with up-dates almost daily.
dyno your tundra. see whats going on.
once the plug it in, and click on there computer unichip
and gain access to your specific UNICHIP
computer module, you should start to see whats going on.
they should know what #'s they need to move around lower, etc.
due to your dyno sheet. so you can gain more HP & TORQUE.
also you need to see a graphic that has #'s in each box.
i would say 15across BY 15 down. full of #'s.
next, after they change the #'s according to the dyno.
also you should see a smalled box, with #'s.
if they can't access it, there not tuning it.

i would ask how many toyota tundra's have they done.
were they trained, by going to unichip school to become a authorized tuner?
again if they can not answer these question's, move on fast.

you can also ask a person who had the custom tune done correctly to help you.
they can have the tuner shop sent unichip there tuner map.
and unichip can install it into your unichip.
while there they can also disable your limitor.

this guy over at tundrageek's has 5 custom map's.
your NOT cheating if you go over to that web site
read what he said, ask him about it.
it might be worth your while.
good luck guy's/girls,
gorilla
